MRF to host Supervisor candidates

KINGMAN – The public is invited to the Mohave Republican Forum (MRF) meeting on Wednesday, September 11, at 5:30 p.m. Guest speakers will be Mohave County Board of Supervisors candidates Travis Lingenfelter and Don Martin.

MRF meeting are now being held at the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce building at 309 E. Beale Street (the building with the MCC signage). The meeting room should be available by 4:30 p.m. and the program begins at 5:30 PM.

KRMC Charity Golf Tournament slated

KINGMAN – Kingman Regional Medical Center’s (KRMC)  35th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held at the Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 7. Festivities will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. An awards ceremony and lunch will follow the tournament.

The $100 entry fee per player covers green fees (including a cart) and a goody bag with a towel and other prizes. The event will also feature raffles, cash prizes, and various challenges for the golfers. Proceeds from the tournament support two essential programs:

7th Annual Monsoon Madness 5K

KINGMAN – The 7th Annual Monsoon Madness 5K run will be held Saturday, Sept. 7. The run is a fundraiser for the Lee Williams and Kingman High Schools’ cross-country programs. Monies raised from the event will go toward entry fees, uniforms, equipment, and transportation costs. New Beginnings Fellowship to have new digs

KINGMAN – The New Beginnings Fellowship is eager to develop a new church property in Kingman. A Conditional Use Permit for the project was approved during the Aug. 14 meeting of the Kingman City Planning and Zoning Commission.

The church is planned on a 3.15-acre parcel at the southwest corner of Riata Valley Road and Western Avenue.
