LAKE HAVASU CITY – On Saturday, October 5, McCulloch Boulevard is closed from Mulberry Avenue to Smoketree Avenue from 5:00a.m. until 9:00 p.m. for the Big Boys Toys event. The hours of operation are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please exercise additional caution when traveling in these areas and pay special attention to all signage, markings, volunteers and law enforcement. Massive drug bust at veteran firefighters home

KINGMAN – A veteran firefighter was arrested Thursday after Homeland Security agents made a controlled delivery of 25 pounds of dimethyltryptamine, a club drug commonly known as DMT, to his home in Kingman. Mohave County Sheriff’s Detective Aaron Devries testified Friday that Alexander Muchow, 29, was detained as he tried to flee out the back of his residence at 3965 Walleck Ranch Road. A probable cause statement filed in Kingman Justice Court said the drugs were purchased from the Netherlands via the internet and that the address delivery slip bore Muchow’s name. Fire department raises funds with softball tourney

KINGMAN – Kingman Fire will be hosting a co-ed softball tournament to raise funds for 1922 American LaFrance “The FROG”. The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, November 9 and the entry fee is $300 per team. Twiggs gets additional 18 years for drug possession in jail

GOLDEN VALLEY – An inmate accused of selling drugs while serving time in the state prison in Golden Valley who rejected a five year plea offer to resolve his case was instead given 18 more years in prison during a Monday hearing in Kingman. Donnie Twiggs, 59, was sentenced by Judge Billy Sipe. Twiggs is serving a 7.25 year sentence for Maricopa County drug convictions and he was set to be released from custody next July.
