The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking good homes for wild horses and burros during its adoption and sale event planned for January 24-26, at the Marana Heritage Arena in Marana, Ariz. The event will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday through Sunday. KINGMAN – A Kingman-grown business engaged in highly specialized repair, design and manufacturing activity has been sold to an out-of-state company. Laron Chief Executive Officer Glenn Thoroughman confirms the sale of Laron to the Ohio Transmission Corporation (OTC). Terms of the deal completed on January 14 are confidential. Thoroughman said the management team will remain in place, that the business will still be called “Laron” and that there are no plans for changes in the operation. Mule deer poached

COLORADO CITY – The Arizona Game and Fish Department is seeking information about the recent poaching of two female (doe) mule deer near Colorado City. The deer were found in Game Management Unit 13A, north of Mohave County Highway 237 (Cane Beds Road) in the Cottonwood Canyon area.
