Downtown sees business activity with a new opening, a closure, and a change of hands

KINGMAN – There’s new activity within the downtown Kingman business community. Black Bridge Brewery has changed hands, the Garlic Clove has closed and the old Wells Fargo bank building welcomes a new venture. Tim Schritter has sold the brewery he opened at 421 E. Beale Street in 2013 to a pair of employees, brew master Karry Hovig and sales manager Jesh Lewier. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Havasu Silent Witness is seeking local residents to serve as volunteer members on the Board of Directors. Formed in 2000, Havasu Silent Witness endeavors to make a positive impact on crime in Lake Havasu City. Members are dedicated to creating a safer community by working in partnership with citizens, media, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department. While the Havasu Silent Witness Board works closely with the Lake Havasu City Police Department, it is a separate, community-based 503(c)(3) non-profit organization. Death under investigation

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The death of a man near Cattail Cove State Park outside Lake Havasu City is under investigation by the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS). DPS public information officer Bart Graves said officers responded Sunday, February 9 after civilians reported finding man slumped over inside a vehicle parked off the northbound lanes of Highway 95. Responding troopers discovered the body of an adult male outside the vehicle. He was declared dead at the scene. The Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office will work to complete positive identification and determine the cause of death.

BLM hosts wild horse and burro adoption and sale February 21-23

Wickenburg event will feature horse and burro training demonstrations The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking good homes for wild horses and burros during its adoption and sale event planned for February 21- 23 at the Everett Bowman Rodeo Grounds in Wickenburg.
