Adcox sentenced to six years on drug charges

A near seven-year prison term has been imposed for a Kingman man whose drug addiction led him on a year-long crime spree. Christopher Adcox, 30, leaves behind six young children, including 18-month-old twins. Family members speaking during the March 15 sentencing hearing said Adcox was a productive citizen and responsible father before drugs took hold of his life. Alleged drug dealer busted in drive-thru

A Peach Springs man faces mandatory prison after his belligerent behavior got him busted in the drive-thru of a fast food restaurant. Police reports indicate that Danny Powsey, 48, drew attention to himself when he acted rudely when interacting with staff at the drive-thru window of the Taco Bell on Andy Devine Avenue in Kingman. One arrested in fatal hit-and-run; two others sought

The Department of Public Safety has identified some of the parties involved and provided more information about a hit and run traffic accident that fatally injured a teenager in Fort Mohave. The agency said that Taylor Young, 18, Fort Mohave succumbed to her injuries on March 16, the day after she was struck while trying to cross Highway 95 near Camp Mohave Rd. Some 100 turn out for courthouse groundbreaking

KINGMAN – A Monday afternoon groundbreaking ceremony celebrated a multi-million campaign to upgrade the Mohave County courthouse in downtown Kingman. The project involves a 66,000 sq. ft addition to provide additional space and the remodeling of the original historic courthouse that opened in 1915. About 100 people in attendance heard presiding Superior Court Judge Charles Gurtler thank many involved with the effort. Alleged cocaine dealer busted; 31 grams of cocaine seized

LAKE HAVASU CITY – An alleged drug dealer has been arrested following seizure of more than 31 grams of cocaine during a March 14 search of his home in Lake Havasu City. Childers couple sentenced in meth plea agreement

Family members including several grandchildren asked for leniency as a Mohave County Superior Court Judge sent a Bullhead City couple to prison on March 11. 61-year-old Dennis Childers and 52-year-old Julia Childers pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of attempted possession of dangerous drugs for sale for selling methamphetamine from their home on Los Flores Street.
