Mohave Valley homicide under investigation

MOHAVE VALLEY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is conducting a homicide investigation in Mohave Valley. Agency personnel responded at 11:55 p.m. on Friday, March 29 to a property in the 10000 block of S. Tropics Rd. MCSO spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said deputies determined that a victim identified as Matthew Cemper, 33, Mohave Valley, was dead at the scene. Detectives responded to begin the murder investigation. Mortensen said the suspected manner of death is withheld so the investigation is not compromised. Cemper’s body was conveyed by the Medical Examiner’s Office. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City police report the seizure of almost a half-pound of methamphetamine, along with the arrests of two adults. BULLHEAD CITY – An alleged one-man crime wave has been apprehended in Bullhead City. Richard Leonard, a fugitive named in arrest warrants for a number of incidents in Feb. and March, has been taken into custody.
