KINGMAN – The Philip Wisely Pro-Life group and the Knights of Columbus invite and welcome the Kingman community to a prayer service for life on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 3 p.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church on Spring St., at the Aborted Children’s Memorial. This pro-life organization will be praying the rosary for life from womb to tomb, as the 47th anniversary of Roe versus Wade is upon us.  This prayer service is held in coordination with the March for Life held in Washington, D.C., Jan. 24 and 25.

Grand Canyon National Park will join national park sites around the country in celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day with free entrance to the park. Entrance fees will be waived for all visitors arriving to Grand Canyon National Park’s South Rim on Monday, Jan. 20, 2020.  Visitors traveling to the South Rim are encouraged to check weather and road conditions before traveling to the park. Park staff also suggest visitors use shoe traction devices while visiting the Grand Canyon’s rim trail and trekking poles if hiking into the canyon as trails may be snow-packed and icy.
