BULLHEAD CITY – Amid the Coronavirus, or COVID-19, pandemic, Mohave Electric Cooperative will temporarily suspend disconnects and late fees immediately until April 3. “The health and well-being of our members and employees is our number one priority at this time,” said Rick Campos, chief operating officer with MEC. “Some of our members are going to face a financial burden as this situation continues to progress. “Bills will become due down the line. The Council can hold special meetings, in the event that certain city business needs to be addressed. The Municipal Utilities Commission will hold its meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 26, however City Commission meetings will also be canceled for the month of April. The Council is encouraging the public to use the live-streaming services the city currently offers, like YouTube, to watch all city public meetings. BULLHEAD CITY – As the Coronavirus, or COVID-19, situation continues to evolve, Mohave Electric Cooperative reminds members of alternate options to avoid a trip to its Member Services Office. “With the well-being of our members a priority, and the thought of containing the spread of the virus, we recommend our members use other available options,” said Rick Campos, chief operating officer at MEC. “Social distancing is a practice encouraged by the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.” The MEC Member Services Office on Hancock Road currently remains open, but members may prefer other options at this time.
