MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County and the City of Kingman quickly considered Wednesday’s decision by Governor Doug Ducey that local government has the authority to make independent regulatory determinations regarding facial coverings during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The City announced Thursday morning that it will require that masks be worn by those inside city buildings. Mohave County Supervisors took less action after considerable discussion early Thursday afternoon. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College will be hosting an online class, Embracing the Leader in You, on Wednesday, June 24 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The seminar is based on the principle that leaders must believe in themselves first. This course helps aspiring leaders to understand how to utilize both logical and emotional perceptions in order to align their personal vision with that of their organizations and how to re-center when alignment has strayed. Much-needed rain brings out desert wildlife in Arizona. Animals may wander in search of mates, moisture and, if necessary, to escape flooding. Desert tortoises are one of several amazing species that can be encountered during Arizona’s monsoon.
