Biden holds 51% of Arizona’s Presidential vote; election results are still unofficial, and pending Marijuana legislation passes at 60% approval Arizona went both blue and green Tuesday with voters favoring Democratic challenger Joe Biden over Republican President Donald Trump, while joining other states in approving the legalization of recreational use of marijuana. Hit-and-run help sought

The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) is looking for help from the public in identifying and locating two vehicles involved in a deadly hit-and run collision in the Mohave Valley area on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The name of the 66-year-old pedestrian from Fort Mohave who was killed is currently withheld. DPS spokesman Bart Graves said the victim had been in a taxicab before asking the driver to pull over and let her out. County approves additional $100,000 to fund election costs

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Supervisors approved an allocation of $100,000 for staff to conduct today’s election. Recorder Kristi Blair said mailing more than 80,000 early ballots and high voter turnout during the pandemic has increased the expected cost. Dist. 5 Sup. Ron Gould, who prides himself on his disciplined fiscal conservatism, took pleasure in voting in support of the funding as Mohave County voters participate in the democratic process. “We should be overjoyed,” Gould said. The Board of Supervisors voted to lift the declaration Monday, after the Department of Public Health reported that county coronavirus case counts are up 70% since Sept. Dist. 2 Sup. Hildy Angius believes recovery rates are more important than case counts.
