MOHAVE COUNTY – It’s time to signal the end of any emergency that Mohave County may have had with respect to COVID-19, according to Dist. 2 Mohave county Supervisor Hildy Angius. LAKE HAVASU CITY – In an effort to provide better accommodations, the Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled the closure of the Site Six launch ramp, fishing pier and surrounding area, on Thursday, October 1 from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. to perform underwater maintenance on the fishing pier. This date is subject to change due to weather or other factors. It will be necessary for residents to use alternate facilities.

The meeting was part of the Achieve 60 Arizona initiative whose goal is for 60% of Arizonans to have achieved a post-secondary credential by 2030. After a state-wide meeting by Expect More Arizona and Achieve 60 Arizona, a group of leaders from Mohave and La Paz counties decided to continue to work to set goals and create county-specific strategies to address shortages in educational attainment. “It’s exciting to see such a variety of people dedicated to this goal. MOHAVE COUNTY – An unprecedented number of Mohave County residents will be voting by mail in the Nov. 3 general election. The avalanche of early ballot requests has flooded the office of County Recorder Kristi Blair. “We’ve never seen anything like this,” Blair told the board of supervisors Monday. “We’ll be sending out over 80,000 mail ballots out of 128,000 voters.” While sheer volume of voting by mail presents significant challenge, Blair said other problems are anticipated due to the close proximity of the Oct. 5 voter registration deadline and start of early voting on Oct. 7. “Right now we…
