Board approves special use permit for Street Outlaws production

MOHAVE COUNTY – Television production will occur in north Mohave County later this month. The Board of supervisors voted Monday in support of a special use permit allowing Pilgrim Operations to film episodes of Street Outlaws for the Discovery Channel. “Isn’t Street Outlaws like speed racing or drag racing or something like that, or do I have my reality shows mixed up,” queried Supervisor Hildy Angius. SB&H receives substance abuse, mental health grant

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services (SB&H), has received an $849,915 grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The funds will be used for a Comprehensive Opioid Recovery Center (CORC) with an Integrated Systems Approach that will serve individuals in Mohave County, Arizona. The SAMHSA grant will enable SB&H to enhance capacity and service options for Mohave County’s uninsured and underinsured populations directly addressing the county’s worsening opioid epidemic.
