MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College Student Services Division employees are back to campus this week, as the college eased pandemic restrictions. A total of approximately two dozen employees are now back on the campuses, specifically to assist students and the public with a variety of services.  These services include assistance filling out the free college application, enrolling in classes, providing financial aid information, and offering assistance with any of the college virtual portals for students.   College advisors are not yet available for face-to-face appointments, but there is a designated Zoom meeting room on campus, so students can meet…

LAKE HAVASU CITY – There’s a renewed sense of optimism in Lake Havasu City, western Arizona’s Colorado River tourist destination 2-1/2 hours south of Las Vegas. On March 5, Arizona State Governor Douglas A. Ducey lifted specific occupancy percentage limitations for businesses. The distribution of vaccinations locally and statewide is now underway. Local mask mandates were lifted last September based upon the significant decline of infection and hospitalization rates in Mohave County. KINGMAN – The Kingman Republican Women will host Robert Del Grosso at their April 5th Meeting.  Mr. Del Grosso will speak regarding Socialism as compared to Americanism; our quickly eroding rights in this nation; extreme environmentalism; and climate change. He will explore topics such as how a socialist society functions in comparison to our two-party system of freedoms guaranteed to us by God and outlined in the U.S. Constitution; and how socialism is subverting our society today with the purpose of overthrowing our government and our way of life. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College is excited to announce that seven of its students have been selected as All Arizona Academic Team Members, including Kingman resident, Michelle Drwal.   All Arizona Academic Team members receive a full tuition scholarship to any public university in Arizona after they graduate MCC. The scholarship covers resident tuition for 10 consecutive undergraduate semesters or 60 credits for the fall and spring semesters.   Drwal is planning to attend Northern Arizona University to earn her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She hopes to eventually work in the Alzheimer’s unit because she enjoys working with…
