Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) congratulates the following students on being named to the Summer 2023 President’s List. The summer terms run from May to August. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer. Volunteers needed throughout the state for court-appointed programs  The Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and Foster Care Review Board (FCRB) programs have launched their Fall volunteer recruitment campaigns, “Talk About CASA in Your CASA” and “Get on Board with the FCRB”.  The campaign was announced during the Arizona Supreme Court’s, Dependent Children’s Services Division biannual volunteer conference, with this year’s theme being “Volunteers Light the Way”.  Volunteers from across the state who share a dedication to the best interests of children in foster care were able to attend. Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club recently made a $1,200 donation to Kingman Cares Foundation, whose mission is to empower members of the community by providing access to current services and resources with compassion in order to maintain or improve quality of life. Accepting the donation was Marcia Joslin, Founder and President of the foundation.

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Police Department has announced several community workshops and presentations that will take place in the coming months. The purpose of these workshops is to give citizens the opportunity to learn about what police work is like in Lake Havasu City, directly from LHCPD employees. Citizens can get a chance to learn about the department’s use of force policy, patrol procedures, investigative techniques, and various other duties that its employees are entrusted with.
