BOULDER CITY, Nev.– Based on high levels of fecal bacteria in Arizona Hot Springs, the  following park areas and facilities are closed, effective immediately, until further notice: Arizona  Hot Springs Trail, Arizona Hot Springs, and the White Rock Canyon parking lot on Highway 93.    Officials are taking corrective action to improve water quality over the next several days. BOULDER CITY, Nev.– The National Park Service will conduct two prescribed burns near  Willow Beach, Arizona, on Monday, November 6. The first burn pile is approximately 1/4-mile  northeast of the employee housing, near Willow Beach Fish Hatchery. The second burn pile is  200 yards up the Jumbo Wash access road, south of Willow Beach Ranger Station. The roads  adjacent to the piles may experience short-term impacts, but closures are not expected.  This activity aims to eliminate hazardous combustible material generated and piled during the  annual cutting and thinning projects conducted in the area. KINGMAN – The public is invited to the Mohave Republican Forum (MRF) meeting on Wednesday, November 8, at 5:30 p.m. with Mohave County Sheriff candidates, incumbent Doug Schuster and Mike Gannuscio. Each candidate will set forth their vision for the Sherriff’s Office and the reasons each believes he is the better person to serve as Sherriff. MOHAVE COUNTY – This week, Mohave Community College started signing up students for spring and summer semesters starting January 8 and May 28, respectively. Students can get a head start on the process to ensure they land a spot in their preferred classes. Students are encouraged to enroll in the classes they want and need as soon as possible because many classes fill up quickly.
