The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers that a highway safety improvement project at the intersection of Old Highway 66 and Fort Rock Road near Seligman in Yavapai County is completed.
Major elements of the project included:
~ Widening the highway to add new east- and westbound turn lanes (milepost 138) and repaving Fort Rock Road.
~ Installing new pavement markings and signs.
~ Drainage work and other related work.
BULLHEAD CITY – A massive crowd showed up this year for the annual event that brings local emergency and civic agency organizations out to meet and greet the public they serve every day. This year’s turnout was larger than last year with well over a dozen City vehicles including the original 1948 Army surplus Fire Engine that was the first fire truck BHF had. The event showcased the many agencies that serve the residents of Bullhead City including a LIfe Flight Helicopter, the SWAT truck, the 1948 vintage Fire Engine and many more.

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Jennifer Lee of Lake Havasu City has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s Summer 2024 Dean’s List. The summer terms run from May to August.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.
MOHAVE COUNTY – Approximately 1,500 students were named to the Biola University Dean’s List in spring 2024.
KINGMAN – Mohave Community Orchestra will host their Fall Concert on Saturday, Oct. 12 at College Park Community Center, 1990 Jagerson Ave.
