Feely competes in NCAA Fall Athletics

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Omare Feely of Lake Havasu City, is a member of the NCAA Division III football team at Albright College this fall. A gradaute of Lake Havasu High School, Feely is studying Sociology: Criminology at Albright.

More than a third of Albright students participate on one of the college’s varsity sports teams, including cross country, field hockey, football, golf, soccer, tennis and volleyball in the fall. The red and white Albright Lions are part of the historic Division III, Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC).

Vintage tea parties hosted by London Bridge Resort

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu’s London Bridge Resort has all sorts of unique ongoing events and activities scheduled to kick up for the fall season. The resort holds classes where people can make their own custom western styled hat, take a tour bus to the Oatman, or simply attend their weekly tea parties.

Arizona Thunder to appear at Metcalfe Park

KINGMAN – Sounds of Kingman will continue their Summer Concert Series with Arizona Thunder on Sunday, Sept. 22 at Metcalfe Park. The free outdoor concert will be held from 4 to 6 p.m.

Arizona Thunder is a local based cover band providing an up-beat genre of music guaranteed to make you want to get up and dance, sing along, or just sit and enjoy the Classic Rock and Classic Country tunes of the past. A bit of Reggae and Cajun is also included in their genre of music.

Why the Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center is filled with art

KINGMAN – The Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center holds their weekly painting classes every Tuesday of the month at 9 a.m. These classes are available to adults of any age for merely $2 per class. People with any level of art skills are welcome to join. The class is low-structure and adaptable to whatever level an attendee may be on. The center has enough art supplies to lend to anyone who would like to test out the class. Many more experienced people in the class are willing to give tips and help out other members of the class on their projects.
