KINGMAN – A project to construct a free-flowing interchange between Interstate 40 and US 93 is quickly transforming the landscape along I-40 in this northwest Arizona community, with crews clearing land for new travel lanes, removing sound walls and preparing the foundations for new bridges.
This progress comes six months into the Arizona Department of Transportation’s $106 million project to eliminate delays that can occur for passenger and truck traffic on the main route between Las Vegas and Arizona. Instead of traffic stopping for a traffic signal on Beale Street at I-40,
Drivers should be prepared for brief delays
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on northbound US 93 near Wikieup to plan for the following overnight lane restrictions for the removal and replacement of guardrail:
* Northbound US 93 will be intermittently narrowed to one lane along a 2-mile segment between mileposts 107 and 109) from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, through Monday, Dec. 23.

“We’re building a mobile shower trailer. This mobile shower trailer’s going to have four shower stalls. It’s going to have one laundry unit. It will be mobile and it will go out to different locations where the homeless are,” said congregation member Robbie Stiles.
