Chief Justice Scott Bales to participate in ground-breaking ceremony for new Superior Court building

KINGMAN – A ground-breaking ceremony for a new Superior Court building will be held on Monday, March 18th at 2:00 p.m. in the parking lot east of the Historic Courthouse, 401 East Spring Street.  Chief Justice Scott Bales of the Arizona Supreme Court will attend and participate in the ceremony.   Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Hildy Angius, will also be participating in the ground-breaking ceremony.  The event is open to members of the public and anyone interested in attending is encouraged to arrive by 1:45 p.m. as seating will be limited.   Mohave County Presiding Judge Charles W. Restoration planned for WWI monument at Courthouse

A group of Marine Corps veterans is leading an effort to restore the WWI monument located at the Mohave County courthouse in downtown Kingman. In May 1928, the citizens of Mohave County dedicated a monument to recognize the sacrifices made by military service members and to honor the memory of those who participated in the “War to end all wars”. Lake Havasu Avenue, between the intersections of McCulloch Boulevard and Swanson Avenue, is partially closed on Monday, March 4 at 10:00 p.m. through Tuesday, March 5 at 4:00 p.m. On Wednesday, March 6 and Thursday, March 7 between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., this intersection is closed to all thru traffic. Solar rooftop will power Havasu splash pad

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Unisource Energy Services will build a shade structure with a solar rooftop component to help power a water feature at a park in Lake Havasu City. The renewable energy credit agreement approved during the Jan. 22 Lake Havasu City Council meeting moves forward an initiative patterned after a similar project in Kingman. KINGMAN – The future of Palo Christi Elementary, changing attendance zones and a new principal were issues addressed during the Feb. 12 meeting of the Kingman Unified School District (KUSD) governing board meeting.
