KINGMAN – Want to give back to your community and don’t know where to start?  Come out for a Volunteer Fair on Tuesday, April 9, from 10am to noon at the Kingman Library, 3269 Burbank.  Multiple organizations will be on hand to help you learn about volunteer opportunities for all ages and abilities including Senior Companions, Living Waters Hospice, the Foster Grandparent Program, WACOG, Katherine Heidenreich Adult Center, the JAVC and more.     Contact Heather at 928-715-2200 for more information.

The Mohave County Department of Risk and Emergency Management will be offering new training sessions in March for individuals interested in becoming volunteers under the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program. CERT is a national program under the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Citizen Corps Council. Community members interested in helping to support emergency preparedness activities and local recovery efforts following disasters can register to receive CERT training from skilled and experienced members of the first responder and emergency management community.
