LAKE HAVASU CITY – Fire restrictions, implemented in June, will remain in effect due to extremely dry conditions on Bureau of Land Management lands within the Colorado River District (CRD). The district’s 5.4 million acres of public lands in western Arizona extend from southern Mohave County, along the Colorado River, through La Paz and Yuma Counties and include the management of a small strip of land in southeastern California. Holiday craft fair slated in Kingman

KINGMAN – Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center (KHAC) is sponsoring a Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, October 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Arts and crafts vendors will have available many handmade items. There will be a bake sale and raffles, including a raffle for a full-size quilt. KINGMAN – Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center (KHAC) is offering beginner and intermediate rumba dance lessons. Classes start Friday, Sept. 6 and run weekly through Friday, Oct. 11. Death investigation ongoing in Lake Havasu City

On August 29, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Lake Havasu City Police Department Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2900 block of Green Acres Drive in reference to a welfare check for a female who went to the residence to recover property and had not returned home. Upon initial arrival, officers were not able to make contact with the female or the occupant of the residence. After further investigation, officers observed two individuals lying motionless on the floor inside the residence. Arizona remains CWD-free due to surveillance efforts The Arizona Game and Fish Department is asking hunters to continue doing their part to help keep Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD), a neurodegenerative wildlife disease that is fatal to deer and elk, at bay.
