GOHS awards granted
BULLHEAD CITY – The Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) awarded the Bullhead City Police Department grants in the amount of $20,946 for DUI enforcement and $25,002 for traffic enforcement.

LAKE HAVASU CITY– Tourist information center Go Lake Havasu is looking for a new CEO but for now, former CEO of the Havasu’s Chamber of Commerce Lisa Krueger has stepped in as the center’s interim CEO.
KINGMAN – The Kingman Terminal Railroad (KGTR) that operates within the Kingman Airport Industrial Park is increasing its business activity since its start in 2017. It connects Industrial Park tenants with the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe railway.
LAKE HAVASU CITY – Some of the most recently completed projects with Public Works were shared at last week’s city council meeting. Improvements such as the rehabilitation for wells 10 and 12 which are needed for Havasu’s water supply, the improved Site Six boat launch, and several other new developments with Public Works were shared at the meeting.
MOHAVE COUNTY – The Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) stands by former Director Tom Buschatzke’s Dec., 2022 designation of the Hualapai Valley Groundwater Basin as in Irrigation Non-Expansion Area (INA).
Establishment of INA’s generally prohibit additional groundwater use by expanded agriculture production. Buschatzke’s local INA designation that essentially shut off the faucet for new agriculture endeavors is based on assessment that water withdrawals at the time of his decision would deplete the basin over time.
LAKE HAVASU CITY – The London Bridge Republican Women (LBRW) monthly dinner will be held on Monday, July 1, at Shugrues Bridgeview Room. Check in is at 5 p.m. with dinner and the meeting at 6 p.m.
