KINGMAN – Western Arizona Council of Governments (WACOG) will be hosting a free Mental Health First Aid training on Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the WACOG office, 208 N. Fourth St. This is an eight-hour course that teaches how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training helps identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. To register or for more information call 928-377-4962 or email melindak@wacog.com.

Salvino has demonstrated that he has the knowledge, experience, and tenure to act as a member of the Command Staff and lead others, and he is recognized as a valuable member of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. Local merchants are invited to a mid-January workshop to learn how to do business with Mohave County. BULLHEAD CITY – Fire Marshal Jim Dykens has retired from Bullhead Fire after 42 years in the fire service. Chief Dykens began his fire service career in October 1977 in the United States Air Force.
