MCC Bighorn Café winners hope to impact the community

MOHAVE COUNTY – Students, staff, faculty and community members will start seeing new faces behind the counter of the Bighorn Café on the Mohave Community College Neal-Kingman Campus. BOS: COVID-19 information process to be streamlined

MOHAVE COUNTY – Coronavirus testing in Bullhead City a week ago revealed a concerning rate of infection within the pool. Department of Public Health Director Denise Burley told Mohave County Supervisors Thursday that 171 of the 200 people who pre-registered actually had tests conducted by North Country HealthCare (NCHC). “Twelve of the 90 tests collected on Friday were positive and 12 of the 81 tests collected on Saturday were positive,” Burley said. “That leads to a 14.5% positivity rate. Fido bag used to save dog pulled from house fire

On July 26, Sunday evening at approximately 9:20 p.m., several Bullhead City Fire Department (BCFD) units were dispatched to a reported structure fire the 1700 block of Diamond Dr. The first arriving units reported smoke and flames showing from a single-story residence. After receiving some conflicting reports that one person may still be inside of the structure, Engine 761s crew made entry through the front door advancing to a rear bedroom. Final Environmental Assessment for future US 93 / Interstate 40 interchange project is available online

The Arizona Department of Transportation has been granted environmental approval to continue moving forward with plans to improve the US 93 / Interstate 40 (I-40) west Kingman traffic interchange.  A “Finding of No Significant Impact” was issued after the project team completed a Final Environmental Assessment for the project, which was prepared in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The Final Environmental Assessment also includes comments from the community received through the public hearing on May 28, 2020.  The document is posted on the project website at azdot.gov/WestKingmanTIP, under the Final Environmental Assessment tab.
