COVID-19: Supervisors discuss lifting emergency declaration, mask mandate

MOHAVE COUNTY – Whether masks and an emergency declaration are necessary to protect against spread of COVID-19 were questions explored during Monday’s meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors. Some of the discussion was a byproduct of Kingman resident Amanda Kaufman’s assertion that coronavirus numbers are so low that there no longer is a state of emergency, if one existed in the first place. Construction projects booming in Kingman

KINGMAN – A number of construction projects are taking shape in Kingman. The Mohave County Courthouse addition downtown should be completed before the end of the year. The new Culver’s is sprouting up quickly on Airway Avenue, just east of the Cracker Barrel. The library expansion is coming along nicely on Burbank Street. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Lake Havasu Field Office announces the temporary closure and restriction of selected public lands for the 2020 Mad Media UTV World Championship desert races in the Standard Wash Off-Highway Vehicle Open Area in Mohave County.
