Havasu cautiously lifts business capacity limits

LAKE HAVASU CITY – There’s a renewed sense of optimism in Lake Havasu City, western Arizona’s Colorado River tourist destination 2-1/2 hours south of Las Vegas. On March 5, Arizona State Governor Douglas A. Ducey lifted specific occupancy percentage limitations for businesses. The distribution of vaccinations locally and statewide is now underway. Local mask mandates were lifted last September based upon the significant decline of infection and hospitalization rates in Mohave County. Kingman Government Operations Coming Back Online

KINGMAN – City of Kingman is slowly getting back to fully operational after a recent cyberattack. The city’s Information Technology (IT) team members have been bringing government operations back online at a slow, safe pace. Kingman IT members have visited the city’s more than 20 work sites within the city, and getting email, internet access, and some specialized programs up and running. Some work functions, specialized software, files, etc. are still not accessible in some departments, as this is a lengthy process to ensure a safe transition to being fully functional. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College is excited to announce that seven of its students have been selected as All Arizona Academic Team Members, including Kingman resident, Michelle Drwal.   All Arizona Academic Team members receive a full tuition scholarship to any public university in Arizona after they graduate MCC. The scholarship covers resident tuition for 10 consecutive undergraduate semesters or 60 credits for the fall and spring semesters.   Drwal is planning to attend Northern Arizona University to earn her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.
