Community clinic plans underway

KINGMAN – Kingman Adventist Community Services (ACS) Foodbank leaders are spearheading an effort to conduct a healthcare and happiness clinic for community members in need. They hope to secure sufficient resources to provide some basic health and dental care services for underprivileged and insurance challenged individuals on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. The drive in advance of the event aims to align health care professionals and other volunteers and community donations to help less fortunate community members. Pay raise for BHC council, mayor

BULLHEAD CITY – The current Bullhead City council has approved pay raises for the council members and mayors who replace them in the future. Mayor Tom Brady said pay for elected officials hasn’t been adjusted in Bullhead City since 2006. Pay for council members will increase to $11,486 from $9,000 a year and to $16,500 from $13,000. City Manager Toby Cotter noted the increases will still put Bullhead City behind Lake Havasu City where the future mayors will be paid $19,650 per year and council members $12,456. Overnight work to build a right-turn lane at Marina Boulevard on State Route 95 in Bullhead City begins June 7

The Arizona Department of Transportation will construct a new right-turn lane on State Route 95 at Marina Boulevard in Bullhead City, beginning Tuesday, June 7, through September. Construction will mostly take place during the overnight hours from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., from Sunday evenings through Friday mornings.
