Kingman Crossing plans to advance

KINGMAN – The Kingman Crossing Interstate 40 interchange project spearhead by Kingman Regional Medical Center was the subject of a report city manager Ron Foggin presented at the June 1 council meeting. Foggin said the hospital exercised its contractual right in its development agreement with city to place the project in a pandemic pause more than a year ago. KINGMAN – Mohave Republican Forum (MRF)  will be hosting Border Patrol Agents, Operations Officer Leroy Pooley and Special Operations Supervisor, Fidel Cabrera on Wednesday, June 9 at 5:30 p.m. Agents Pooley and Cabrera will be speaking and answering questions regarding border and issues regarding abandoned and unattended children at the border, criminal drug traffickers and human traffickers, and what they are seeing regarding reasons these people are flooding the borders and what countries they are coming from. CRUHSD board selects Silk as new superintendent

BULLHEAD CITY – The Colorado River Union High School District governing board has selected former superintendent Monte Silk to be the district’s new Superintendent for the upcoming school year.  The vote was unanimous. Last week’s decision followed a 45-minute community forum, including questions from an audience at CRUHSD’s Anderson Auto Group Fieldhouse.  The school board then met with both Silk and CRUHSD career-technical education director Gina Covert in executive session for final interviews before reconvening in public for a formal vote.
