Gosar visits Bullhead City veterans’ homeless shelter

BULLHEAD CITY – Homeless does not mean forgotten. Mohave Electric Cooperative is providing financial support for an eight-bed veterans’ wing of the Bullhead City Emergency Shelter facility on North Oatman Road. U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar, a member of the Rural Veterans Caucus, visited the building on Monday. Dear Editor, Thank you to Wells Fargo for their generous donation of $437.60 to the Dig It Kingman Community Garden. Wells Fargo’s employees did a fundraiser with all their branches throughout the state. Chocolate dipped strawberries, survivor bracelets and survivor keychains were sold to collect money for Dig It. CRUHSD board seat will remain open until 2020 election

BULLHEAD CITY – Mohave County School Superintendent Mike File has opted not to fill a vacant seat on the Colorado River Union High School District governing board. The seat will remain open until after the November 2020 election, when a new term begins in January 2021. The CRUHSD board deadlocked in late October when four applicants expressed interest in the seat. Two were tied two-two after being placed in nomination. Kingman Republican Women present tribute to veterans, active military

KINGMAN – The Kingman Republican Women’s Club (KRW) will host their monthly general meeting on Tuesday, November 12 at the DamBar Steakhouse, 1960 E. Andy Devine Ave. The meeting will be a tribute to American military with guest speaker Mike Myers, Vice President of the Jerry Ambrose Veteran Council, and a flag ceremony presented by the Young Marines of Kingman, headed by Robert Skankey. All are invited to attend the program which begins promptly at noon. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. and lunch is available per order. There is a $3 meeting fee collected at the door.
