MOHAVE COUNTY – Overwhelming opposition was sometimes fiercely expressed during a raucous public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission voted to recommend that the Board of Supervisors deny overlay zoning requested for a renewable energy project about 19 miles north of Kingman. In August, SONIC Foundation donated $1 million to support local education across the country Sonic  Drive-In is dedicated to getting teachers and students the classroom supplies they need for the new school year. In August, the Sonic Foundation donated $1 million to help fund requests on DonorsChoose, a national nonprofit that allows individuals to donate directly to public school classroom requests submitted by teachers. The funding supported teachers in Kingman who received a combined donation of $1,926.00 from the Sonic Foundation. MOHAVE COUNTY – Two top legal authorities have indicated that public safety interests and the justice system will suffer if the Mohave County Board of Supervisors (BOS) follows through with contemplated across the board general fund budget cuts of 18%.
