Calif man drowns in Colorado River

BULLHEAD CITY – On the afternoon of Saturday, July 5, Bullhead City emergency crews were called to the 1200 block of Riverfront Drive for a report of a missing man in the Colorado River.

It was reported that the man swam out to retrieve a hat and did not resurface. The Bullhead City Police Department, along with multiple partner agencies including dive teams, air, water and land units, searched the river until the evening hours and again the following morning.

The body of Manuel Guillermo Segura, 48 of Covina, CA, was recovered Monday morning, July 7. The drowning appears to be accidental and not suspicious or criminal in nature.
