
BULLHEAD CITY – The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded the City of Bullhead City’s Finance Department a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the City’s comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).This certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by Bullhead City and its Finance Team.
City Manager Toby Cotter stated, “Finance Manager Rudy Vera and his staff work diligently throughout the year on the CAFR budget and other financial reports. This award of excellence is deserved and shows the high level of competence and excellence that exists in our Finance Department.”
The CAFR was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR. The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association that serves approximately 17,500 government finance professional with offices in Chicago, IL and Washington, D.C.
