BCSD recruiting substitute teachers

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City School District is looking for local individuals interested in working as substitute teachers for the 2021-2022 school year, which just started.  Substitute teachers are able to make their own schedules while filling Pre-K through eighth grade classroom positions.

All substitutes are employed by Educational Services Inc. (ESI), an Arizona-based company.  The pay ranges from $100 to $150 daily, depending upon classroom circumstances.  ESI also has a benefits package.

“We are encouraging people with valid substitute or teaching certificates to apply,” said BCSD Superintendent Carolyn Stewart.  “This can include retirees, those who have left the field, or those interested in starting the process and becoming full-time educators.”

All substitute teachers will need a valid Arizona fingerprint clearance card and a valid teacher or substitute certificate.

BCSD substitutes will:

  • Manage student learning, in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Maintain a positive learning environment for all students; a professional relationship with all staff in accordance with BCSD & ESI policies
  • Ensure adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students
  • Implement lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in manner which motivates students to learn and participate

Applications are available on the ESI website at https://educationalservicesinc.applytojob.com/apply/w5FB7Aft5Q/SubSource-Substitute-Position .  Additional information is also available from ESI at (480) 719-3271 or hr@esiaz.us .
