LAKE HAVASU CITY – Good news for nonprofit and small business owners. Last week representatives of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) shared information with the Lake Havasu community at their Small Business Accelerator Information Session.

The Small Business Accelerator Information Session took place on Tuesday January 23rd at Nomadic Coworking Space from 6pm to 7pm.  The event was free to the public.  Over the past few years, BBB has noticed the need to cater to newer younger businesses.  This is why the organization has partnered up with GoDaddy whose mission is to enable business owners all over the world to have more opportunities where their businesses can thrive.

BBB is well known for developing businesses and charities that are trusted by the community. For many decades, they have educated businesses on how to improve and maintain positive relationships with their consumers.

Director of Media Relations Kryistyna Hook of BBB in Lake Havasu collaborated with Director of Entrepreneur Programs Samantha Scholl of BBB in San Diego, to let business owners in on their Empower by GoDaddy program. At the information session, many small business owners of the community attended to learn more about this exciting course.

Both Hook and Scholl discussed the benefits of the 10-week course that can help entrepreneurs obtain a clearer understanding on the process of growing their businesses. This is a virtual hybrid program that offers teachings from industry experts, web designers, and social media coaching.

With this course, students are eligible to get mentorship opportunities from GoDaddy and BBB that are customized for their nonprofit or small business. The Empower by GoDaddy course, connects business owners with other like-minded entrepreneurs for networking and emotional support.

Other topics discussed at the event were the benefits business owners can gain from this program such as six months of free coworking space at their Phoenix and San Diego campuses, two years of free GoDaddy website domain builder and much more. If you’re an entrepreneur still trying to figure out whether or not this class is meant for you, there’s still plenty of time to register.

Their next 10-week course begins on March 13 and ends on May 22.  If you can’t make that one, their next course will begin on September 4.
