Battle with cops ends in arrest

BULLHEAD CITY –  Bullhead City police had difficulty apprehending a local resident after responding to a domestic violence report in the 1900 block of Clearwater Drive. Daniel Wilson, 40, reportedly fled the residence before officers arrived at 7:15 a.m., Nov. 25.

Agency spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said police learned that Wilson had argued with his girlfriend and broke things in their home. Officers located Wilson as he was jumping over several fences in the neighborhood.

“He actively resisted police arrest and a taser was deployed. The taser did not affect Wilson and he continued to run from police,” Fromelt said. She said Wilson was extremely aggressive when confronted by an officer.

“The officer administered OC/pepper spray three times, which was also ineffective in stopping Wilson,” Fromelt said. “He was tased again, but continued to actively fight with two officers, injuring them.”

Wilson was eventually subdued and taken into custody for aggravated assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal damage. Drug charges were added as Wilson was discovered to be in possession of three grams of methamhetamine.
