Two charged in year-old homicide case

KINGMAN – Two Kingman men have been arrested for a near year-old homicide. Benjamin Clark Dann, 24, and Alfred Martin Talavera, 33, are charged with second degree murder. The Mohave County Sheriff’s office said Dann and Talavera had been considered suspects in an ongoing investigation of the death of Kirklin Marcus Roach, 37. The body of the Kingman man who died of blunt force trauma was found in a desert area behind the Kingman Airport on January 14, 2019. BLM completes recreational improvements along the Colorado River

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Lake Havasu Field Office has completed a two-month improvement project at Bass Point Day Use Area to remodel an informational kiosk, repair fence posts and cable, paint and repair the vault toilet, remove overgrown vegetation, and lay gravel in the parking area. The maintenance staff also posted new educational signage to improve the visitor’s experience. The recreation area will be available for public use starting January 8. Teen sought in drive-by shooting

BULLHEAD CITY – A teenager is wanted for questioning for his alleged involvement in a January 3 drive-by shooting incident in Bullhead City. The suspect is identified as Zachary Brooks, 19. Spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Bullhead City police officers responded after witnesses reported shots were fired from a grey Ford Mustang at an apartment in the 400 block of River Glen Drive.
