The pageant is an all-natural beauty pageant for both boys and girls, from infants through age 18. “They compete in formal wear, Disney wear, spokesmodel (they have a speech category), and talents. Saturday, April 13, Kingman and Lee Williams High Schools hosted their Annual Route 66 Invitational Track meet held at Kingman High School on Bank Street in Kingman. The day was filled with plenty of sunshine, wind and track and field events. Saturday, April 13, Kingman’s very own Mohave Community Orchestra presented its Spring Festival Concert at Kingman High School. Conductor Art Swanson led the ensemble with an opening of “Procession of the Nobles from Mlada,” and ended the evening with “A Whole Lot of Symphony Themes.” The 35-member orchestra has been in existence for about 13 years and is made up of primarily amateur musicians. “We allow all qualified students in the orchestra. No one was hurt during an Easter Sunday fire in north Kingman. Personnel from the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District (NACFD) responded at 4:38 p.m. to the incident in the 3100 block of East Packard Avenue.    “Firefighters arrived to find a single wide mobile residence with an attached Arizona room with smoke and fire venting from the roof,” a news release stated. “There were two occupants at the time and everyone escaped without injury.”    Battalion Chief Don Dallman said it took crews about 20 minutes to knock down the fire before extensive mop up operations were conducted.
