Life jacket exchange scheduled in Kingman

Arizona’s boating season is here and the Arizona Game and Fish Department is helping watergoers prepare for a safe time on the water by offering multiple life jacket exchange events in the coming weeks.  Now in its 11th year, the Life Jacket Exchange program allows people with an old, worn out life jacket to swap it for a new one (while supplies last). Last year, the department’s Boating Safety Education program exchanged 1,520 of the life-saving jackets. Data center construction underway

Two companies are partnering in development and operation of a $3-billion renewable energy data center about 12 miles south of Kingman. Solar panels are already arriving for assembly at the 717 acre site off of Interstate 40. Pegasus Group Holdings and Plus Minus Power have crews constructing “The Hive” which will generate 340 Megawatts of electricity, nearly half the output of Hoover Dam. Legendary WWII Navajo Code Talkers honored as part of Lake Havasu City Memorial Walkway

A memorial walkway, which extends under the famously relocated London Bridge, will now feature bricks honoring the service of the legendary World War II Navajo Code Talkers. At 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, the Havasu Freedom Foundation will unveil 33 bricks along the walkway dedicated to the instrumental work of the code talkers; however, only 29 bricks will bear names as national historians continue to research the backgrounds of four additional military members involved in the once top-secret military program. Lash gets year of probation for assault

Involved attorneys and Judge Billy Sipe agrees that mystery clouds the case of a Las Vegas man who claimed to be on a religious pilgrimage when discovered completely naked on a Chloride hillside more than a year ago. Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the naked subject report on February 20, 2018.
