U.S. Air Force Airman Peyton Speed graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Speed is the son of Rhonda and Rodney Speed of Lancaster, California. He is the grandson of Peggy Hatfield of Lake Havasu City, and son-in-law of Jaycee Gill of Ridgecrest, California….

Flag Football and Cheer Are you ready for some flag football?  Registration is open for area youth, currently enrolled in first through sixth grades, for the Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation Flag Football and Cheer program.  Cost is $52 per participant, which includes a t-shirt for football players or t-shirt and pompoms for cheerleaders.  This program is a great way to learn key components of the game, develop skills, and play as a team in a safe and fun environment.
