The Jerry Abrose Veterans Council (JAVC) was formed in July 2010 by two former Marines, Jerry Abrose and Gene Crego. Jerry Ambrose wanted to bring the various veteran organizations together to coordinate their efforts in helping veterans in need and promoting veterans’ issues. When it was originally formed, it was called the Kingman Veterans Council, and the first meeting was held at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10386 in Kingman. Mohave Community College (MCC) introduces cultural activities that the community can explore through their student clubs. Last week the school’s Latino Club hosted a baile folklorico dance class, a dance style that has been present in Mexican culture since the early 1950s. The class took place Friday, April 5 f at Mohave Community College. BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City, in collaboration with the Bullhead City Pickleball Club and the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Colorado River, is offering sessions of indoor pickleball at the Boys and Girls Club Bullhead City Branch Gymnasium. Currently, the Bullhead City Pickleball Club is hosting sessions Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.
