PAGE – Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is seeking public comments from Aug. 8 through Sept. 9, regarding a proposed fee increase for the Lees Ferry Campground.
The proposed increase would raise the current fee of $20 per site/per night to $26 per site/per night starting in January 2025. The new fee would match the campground fees throughout the rest of the park.
KINGMAN – Crews have held the Element Fire to 5,364 acres about 12 miles northwest of Kingman. Wildfire managers hope to begin winding down the battle for control of the fire sparked by lightning on Aug. 6 as containment has increased to 31%.
KINGMAN – The City of Kingman would like to provide the community with an update on the highly anticipated Eastern Street realignment project that kicked off in February of this year. This project was budgeted as part of the City’s FY24 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan, to create a more cohesive traffic flow for that area of town.
