MOHAVE COUNTY –Employees in supervisory roles with Lake Havasu City are adding a plethora of skills to their toolbelts, from customer service to managing organizational change and more, as part of the organization’s Supervisor Excellence Academy.
KINGMAN – The High Desert Astronomy Club will present a lecture on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. The speaker will be Lowell Observatory Historian Kevin Schindler. Schindler will be speaking on Lowell’s new Astronomy Discovery Center and Dark Sky Planetarium. The event will be held in the Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) Mohave Room, near the cafeteria.
LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City man was arrested after a deadly shooting late Sunday, Oct. 6. Police responded at 10:55 p.m. to the 2100 block of Barranca Drive where they found a male with a gunshot to the chest in the rear of the home.
LAKE HAVASU CITY – Havasu Abuse Victims Education Network (HAVEN) Center will be bringing recognition for crisis victims with their 11th Annual “Save a Life” Domestic Violence Awareness Walk. HAVEN Provides services to victims and families in crisis at no cost. The organization works alongside various other like-minded organizations such as the National Domestic Violence Hotline, The Arizona Child and Family, Advocacy Network, Lake Havasu City, a many more charitable groups that give assistance to victims of abuse.
KINGMAN – The public is invited to the Mohave Republican Forum (MRF) meeting on Wednesday, October 9, at 5:30 p.m. at the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce building downtown at 309 E. Beale St.
