LAKE HAVASU CITY – Go Lake Havasu announces a monthly coffee meeting, open to all residents, to discuss tourism and the role of Go Lake Havasu. The coffee meeting will be held at the Lake Havasu City Visitor Center from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. the last Thursday of every month, beginning January 25, for constructive conversations and idea-sharing. The aim is to create a space where residents can collectively contribute to the growth and prosperity of Lake Havasu.
KINGMAN – Some 11.25 years in prison has been ordered for a Kingman man who denies engaging in sexual activity with an eight-year-old girl. Monte Anderson, 53, was sentenced Tuesday, Jan. 2 by Judge Billy Sipe. KINGMAN – Multiple sex offense convictions and tough Arizona sentencing law results in mammoth punishment for a Kingman man. Alexander Vaughan, 28, was given four consecutive life terms plus 60 more years in prison during a Jan. 2 sentencing hearing at the Mohave County Law and Justice Center in Kingman. Judge Doug Camacho also ordered Vaughan to comply with convicted sex offender registration protocols. And Vaughan is prohibited from contacting two case victims. Former Deputy Mohave County Attorney Meghan Gallagher told jurors that Vaughan began abusing two boys in 2010 when they were under the age of 10. She explained…
