LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Police Department would like to make the community aware of two recent local scams that have been reported. In one of the scams, the caller indicates that your iCloud account has been compromised. The caller has you access your phone settings to turn certain functions off and on. The caller then asks you to access a specific website from your iPhone. This gives the caller access to your personal device and all of the information on your phone. KINGMAN – A Kingman-grown business engaged in highly specialized repair, design and manufacturing activity has been sold to an out-of-state company. Laron Chief Executive Officer Glenn Thoroughman confirms the sale of Laron to the Ohio Transmission Corporation (OTC). Terms of the deal completed on January 14 are confidential. Thoroughman said the management team will remain in place, that the business will still be called “Laron” and that there are no plans for changes in the operation. Prison for robber who assaulted two employees

KINGMAN – A Parker man who committed violent robberies at two businesses in Lake Havasu City is being sent to the Arizona Department of Corrections for 8.5 years. The punishment imposed Thursday by Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert was mandated in a plea agreement for Kerrigon Russell, 24. Russsell pleaded guilty to robbery and aggravated assault for an April 29, 2019 incident at the Sally Beauty Supply store at 5601 Highway 95.
