BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City School District (BCSD) governing board is accepting applications to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of member Brandee Dubois, who stepped down this month.  She was elected as a write-in candidate to a full four-year term last November after having been previously appointed to fill an unexpired term. The board is expected to recommend its newest member at its August 12 meeting, which is open to the public.  A formal appointment will then be made by Mohave County School Superintendent Mike File.  Under state law, File has the right to accept or reject…

Dear Editor, Well, not the governor of Arizona, Mohave County five districts Board of Supervisors, or Valle Vista seven Board of Directors, four of July committee, or the fire chief or Sheriff’s Office on having fireworks at Mohave County Fairgrounds or in Valle Vista. You would think with a fire alert in Mohave County and 30 fires already burning would have been a hint to not have fireworks this year. Common sense but no luck, even another newspaper had a survey with the majority voting against fireworks this year. The politicians went ahead anyway … dumb, dumb, dumb. It’s all…
