Scott Duane Ellis, of Kingman, died Friday, February 23, 2024. He was 63. Mr. Ellis was born Dec. 12, 1960 in Baldwin Park, Calif. The family contact is his son Daniel Duane Anthony Ellis. Arrangements were made by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.
LAKE HAVASU CITY – An arrest is reported in a knife slashing earlier this month at the State Route 95/Interstate 40 interchange truck stop north of Lake Havasu City. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said the violence occurred on Feb. 4 during an escalating verbal argument between two truck drivers. But eagle nests and young eagles are sensitive to nearby human activity. Too much disturbance by humans can cause a nest to fail, or result in a premature fledging and injury, or death to an eaglet that can’t fly or defend itself. Dear Editor, Kingman has a 2024 population of 37,016. Kingman is currently growing at a rate of 2.92% annually and its population has increased by 12.53% since the most recent census, which recorded a population of 32,895 in 2020. Most Kingman residents already know the difficulties identifying “available” medical professionals for an appointment, medical evaluation and treatment. Given our recorded and prospective population growth, those tasks will increase proportionally – leaving many residents without needed medical care.
