At its bi-weekly board meeting on Monday, April 7, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors (BOS) held the first vote regarding the potential re-opening of Davis Dam. The Board unanimously passed a resolution expressing support for the dam’s reopening.
BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City will be officially opening Gary Keith Civic Park on Friday, April 11 at 3 p.m. The grand opening will also feature a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the John and Olivia McCormick Performing Arts Pavilion.
River Cities United Way (RCUW) will be hosting its ninth annual Day of Caring in Kingman on April 19. The Day of Caring involves volunteers from all over the community gathering to clean up litter and trash from Kingman’s public spaces.
KINGMAN – The Mohave County Homeless Continuum of Care (COC) held an emergency meeting to address the housing needs of individuals that were evicted from the Arcadia Lodge on Thursday, March 20. The hotel was declared uninhabitable by the City of Kingman when they were informed that the hotel was without power.
KINGMAN – A local microschool administrator spoke in favor of participation in extracurricular activities by those enrolled in Arizona’s new education voucher program. The comments were made during the public comment portion of Kingman Unified School District’s monthly school board meeting on Tuesday, March 11.
