Armed man apprehended after disturbance

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City man who somehow eluded authorities as a SWAT team responded to an armed subject, domestic disturbance incident was apprehended on Sunday, April 21. Lake Havasu City police arrested Yordi Mulder, 31, after learning he could be located at a residence in the 3000 block of Silversmith Dr.

Mulder was transported to Kingman and booked into the Adult Detention Center for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct charges.

Officers responded to the initial domestic disturbance report in the area of McCulloch Bay and McCulloch Boulevard at about 10:54 p.m. on Thursday, April 18.

“The suspect was observed inside a residence, where he was reported to be armed with many firearms,” said police sergeant Kyl Ridgway, who said SWAT and negotiating team members were summoned. “Communication with the suspect could not be established and it was eventually determined he was no longer inside the residence.”

A tip helped police locate and arrest Mulder three days after the disturbance.
