Apply to serve on a Bullhead City commission or board

BULLHEAD CITY – The City of Bullhead City has various commission and board seats available for citizens to serve. The City Clerk’s Office is currently accepting applications from citizens interested in volunteering for the following positions:

The Bullhead Area Transit System Commission (BATS) makes recommendations to the city council regarding the development and maintenance of a public transportation system for the city. Multiple seats are available.

The Franchise License Commission provides recommendations to the city council concerning policies, rules and regulations pertaining to the city’s franchise agreements and licenses, and evaluates citizen concerns and suggestions. Three seats are available with terms expiring on December 31, 2023.

The Planning and Zoning Commission provides recommendations to the city council as to the best present and future use to which land and buildings shall be put within the city, and meets on a monthly basis. There is a residency requirement to serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission. One seat is available with a term expiring on June 30, 2022.

To be eligible, an applicant should have a general understanding of the issues addressed by the Commission or Board seat they are applying for.

Appointments are made by the Bullhead City Council. Those submitting applications to the City Clerk prior to November 30, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. will be considered for appointment at a future City Council meeting. Applicants are encouraged to attend this meeting.
