Annual rainfall up for Mohave County

MOHAVE COUNTY – Area communities enjoyed above average precipitation in 2019. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Las Vegas said rainfall wasn’t officially measured in Bullhead City last year but that Laughlin, Nevada welcomed nearly twice its annual average.

The NWS said a total of 10.24 inches of rain fell in Laughlin last year and that the annual average measured over a 23 year span was 5.36 inches.

The agency said annual averages for Kingman and Lake Havasu City is calculated over a 30 year period. Kingman exceeded its annual average by nearly three inches of rain while it was nearly two inches in Lake Havasu City.

The NWS said a total of 11.8 inches of rain dropped in Kingman last year, while the annual average is 8.92 inches. 5.8 inches of rain was tallied in Lake Havasu in 2019 against an annual average of 3.97 inches.
