Animals survive house fire

BULLHEAD CITY – On October 23, at approximately 11:39 a.m., Bullhead City Fire crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire on the 500 block of Mead Lane. Upon arrival, a single-story residence with two additions were fully involved.

After confirming that all of the occupants had safely evacuated, the home crews began an aggressive fire attack and were able to keep the blaze contained to the primary structure. However, a neighboring home did sustain minimal damage to the exterior. Firefighters battled the blaze for approximately an hour and a half before the fire was called under control.

No injuries were reported during the incident, and all three of the homeowner’s dogs survived the blaze. Fire crews located and extracted one of the dogs from the fire after it was extinguished and reunited him with his owner. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
